Janet Burros was a loving mother, wife and grandmother who lost her fight to ovarian cancer in 2001. In 2005, the Janet Burros Memorial Foundation (JBMF) was founded in honor of Janet to preserve her memory and to raise awareness for this devastating disease. Every year, JBMF holds a Charity Golf Outing with all proceeds and donations used to fund promising programs to help with early detection, prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer.
Our grants support clinical and translational cancer research done by gifted physicians at every stage of their careers. For inquiries regarding JBMF funding opportunities, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Some of our past recipients of funding have included The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and in particular, The Albert Einstein Cancer Center, Yale Cancer Center and the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. More information, please click here.
